RINUCCINI, deed of exemption from taxes in the Papal States in favour of Alessandro Rinuccini, clerk of the Camera Apistolica, in recognition of his services, manuscript on vellum, Rome 20 May 1667.
4° (220 x 155mm). 6 leaves, the last blank. Black ink with gold rule, the opening lines in gold.
BINDING: contemporary Roman gold-tooled fawn morocco or morocco-grained sheep by the Andreoli atelier, sides panelled with tooth-rolls, a drawer-handle roll and multiple fillets, large and small fleurons at inner and outer angles, the Rinuccini arms at the centre of both covers, pink fabric ties (date of the document inscribed in black ink at top of the front cover).
