LATE 19TH CENTURY, BLUE FR SURMOUNTED BY A CROWN
Each seated on their haunches, looking to the left and right with their jaws wide-open revealing gilt teeth, their long curling manes enriched in shades of brown, and richly-gilt tails curled along their backs, with a front paw balanced on a shield-shaped cartouche painted and gilt with an armorial surmounted by a crown, on rectangular plinths painted with scrolling yellow and orange foliage on a black-ground (both with chipping to exposed tongues and further light chipping and rubbing)
