Edo period (19th century), signed Kajikawa saku and with red jar seal
Decorated with a design of Taira no Kagekiyo and Hatakeyama no Shigetada on the steps of the Great Buddha Hall in Nara, and lacquered in gold, silver, black and red takamakie and inlays of ivory and iridescent shell, the ground gyobu-nashiji, interiors nashiji; fitted with a filigree metal ojime with flowers and an ivory netsuke of a court attendant holding a furled umbrella
