signed on the backplate DOLLOND*LONDON, the 42-inch long body-tube with lens cap, starfinder, rack and pinion focusing and two telescopic support rods, mounted between two A-frame supports, one with vertical half-circle rack and pinion adjustment and clamp, with horizontal adjustment beneath, mounted in a socket with vertical graduated adjustment, vernier and clamp, with eyepiece extension tube, five astronomical eyepieces and two mahogany adjustment rods, in the fitted mahogany case with brass hooks and eyes and key -- 131.2cm. (51¼in.) wide, with a mahogany tripod with brass sockets for the support rods and folding brass spider
