signed W. & S. Jones, London., the 14-inch telescope with sliding objective adjustment and bubble level, mounted over a brass cross bar, the eyepiece end with fine-screw vertical adjustment, on a staff mounting, with an oak tripod with four-screw brass mounting, each leg threaded to split in two, with an associated 3-inch diameter glazed compass signed W. & S. Jones Holborn, London, with flat steel needle and clamp, in a fitted mahogany case -- 49cm. (23¼in.) wide
