Gilt crowned interlaced L's above gilder's mark for Le Grand fils to the saucer, traces of the same mark to the cup
The cup with a moulded leaf enriched in gilt on the handle, each silvered, gilt in two shades of gold, and delicately chased with pairs of birds 'conversing' on a terrace of flowers, butterflies separating each vignette, the blue ground with a paired scalloped and dentil rim, gilt dentil also along the interior rim of the cup and the underside of the saucer
