MING DYNASTY, 16TH CENTURY
Of elongated rectangular form moulded with indented ribbed corners, the interior of the tray crisply carved through the dark brown lacquer with two concentric bands of ruyi heads encircling a row of paired ruyi centred on a four-petal flower, the exterior with further ruyi motifs, all raised on a rectangular foot, age cracks (some losses and repairs)
