A MEZCALA STONE SEATED FIGURE, TYPE M-12
Late Preclassic, ca. 300-100 B.C.
Of robust proportions with large feet placed solidly on the ground, and a sharp cut separating the raised legs, hands placed at the chest, slightly upraised with the wide jaw resting on the neck and features indicated by grooves; in pale green andesite stone.
