AN OUTSTANDING RANGE OF FINE WINES INCLUDING CLARET FROM THE GREAT 1982, 1985 AND 1989 VINTAGES AND MATURE WHITE BURGUNDY FROM RENOWNED DOMAINES RECENTLY REMOVED FROM A COUNTRY HOUSE CELLAR IN SOUTHERN ENGLAND
These wines have been stored in underground, temperature controlled cellarage since shipment until their removal for this sale.
The owner's enthusiasms have been almost exclusively for great Claret and top White Burgundy from leading growers. Why is he selling? His cellars are full to bursting, and many of the carefully-bought wines have now matured. His passion for collecting, and his love for France, mean that he has not stopped buying, as new, great vintages occur. Space must be made for imminent deliveries. Mature wines should be enjoyed as they reach their peaks, hence this limited relinquishing of stocks.
From Bordeaux there is a comprehensive range of great 1989 clarets, along with superb 1985s and 1982s. There is also an outstanding range of mature white Burgundies, beginning at lot 1623 to 1686. A.H.
Lying in Twickenham, Middlesex
Lots 1623 to 1652 and 1654, 1660 to 1662, 1672 and 1676 are offered in original wooden cases. The remaining wines are offered in original cartons
