The cup of octagonal section beaker-shaped form, the loop handle enriched with gilt husks, lines and dot ornament, the ground of the exterior reserved with two river-landscapes with dilapidated buildings, one with two gallants at discussion, the other with boating figures, within shaped quatrefoil gilt line cartouches, the interior with a gilt vitruvian foliage-scroll border, the octagonal saucer with a fine city on the banks of a river within an elaborate gilt and dark-brown shaped quatrefoil cartouche with scrolling foliage, shells and diaper panels, within a similar gilt border, with a green-ground underside, gilt line rims (cup with chip to inside edge of rim, slight areas of wear and flaking to gilding, saucer with minute areas of wear)
