The breakarch hood with fretwork cresting above fluted cornice, hood and trunk with fluted angles, with central marquetry inlays to the shallow-arch trunk door and to the plinth, with cut-away brass dial now reduced to a circle, silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring, the centre with arch date aperture and signed Latimer & Miller, the eight day movement with four pillars, anchor escapement and rack strike on bell; composite, case second quarter 19th century, dial late 18th century, movement 19th century -- 79½in. (202cm.) high
