CIRCA 1725, THE DECORATION ALMOST CONTEMPORARY
Decorated in the Augsburg workshop of Bartolomäus Seuter with vignettes of a procession with a figure in a sedan chair with bearers proceeded by a trumpeter and an attendant with a parasol, the reverse with figures below a rocky arch, below a birds and a dragon, on interlocking foliate strapwork supports, below a gilt dentil band, the interior with a scalloped gilt band border edged with beaded C-scrolls and husks, the pierced auricular handles and stepped foot richly gilt (shallow footrim chip, small areas of wear to vignettes and handles)
