CIRCA 1761-4, IMPRESSED SHIELD MARK ABOVE DREHER'S . TO FOOTRIM
Of baluster form with a double-scroll handle, decorated in the manner of the Seuter workshop, one side with an Oriental entertaining children, the other with a musician playing a horn, a figure nearby, on terraces with trees, fences and shrubs on interlocking scroll supports, below a scalloped gilt band border edged with husks and beaded C-scrolls, the domed cover with two birds flanking a gilt knop finial, within a similar border (very slight wear to gilding, cover with minute chip to underisde of rim, finial a restored replacement)
