A VIENNA LOBED QUATREFOIL TEAPOT AND COVER
CIRCA 1740-45
Painted with vignettes of stags in wooded landscapes below birds in flight within puce-line roundels flanked by cornucopiae and palm leaves, the cover with similar lesser vignettes, between gilt lines, the branch handle and fluted spout gilt with scrolls between gilt-line rims and terminals, the pine-cone finial enriched in puce and gilding (minute chip to tip of finial, very small areas of wear to gilding at tip of spout and handle)
