Two identical silver open face lever pocket watches in original presentation box
Attributed to Bovet, Fleurier. Mid 19th Century
The profusely chased and engraved gilt movement with scroll decoration, hanging spring barrel, jewelled to the centre with counter poised lever escapement and bimetallic balance, ruby endstone, bearing a Chinese signature, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, Arabic quarter hour marks, typical blued steel hands, sweep centre seconds, in plain consular case with glazed cover to the movement, the second watch identical, one being numbered 221943 and the second 221945, in Chinese leatherette presentation box bearing the same Chinese signature in the cartouche
