A Russian boxwood hunting cased pocket watch with outer case
First quarter 19th century
The mechanism made almost entirely from boxwood and bone, variant of cylinder escapement with flat wooden wheel and inclined teeth, the boxwood dial with Arabic numerals on bone cartouches, subsidiary seconds, bone hands revealing the under dial work, in plain turned boxwood hunter case with ring pendant, in purpose made boxwood travelling case
