The gilt chain fusee verge movement with pierced decorative tulip pillars, pierced and engraved cock and foot to the edge of the top plate, the silver champlevé dial with engraved and blacked Roman numerals in a half sector from 12 to 6, outer Arabic five minute divisions in cartouches, the lower half of the centre of the dial signed by the maker on a cartouche with scrollwork and mythical birds, the upper half of the centrefield with an aperture revealing the blued steel disk with the sun and moon, pointers on both indicating the hour of day or night, central blued steel minute hand, in a plain silver case with a square hinge and split bezel, in horn covered outer case, with profuse silver pinwork, with length of silver fob chain and seal
