A Viennese silver gilt and enamel monstrance watch
Fourth quarter 19th Century
The silver gilt naked figure of Urania resting on a convex base decorted with enamelled scenes and with further light blue enamelling in the base decorated with formal foliate strapwork, the ovoid watch case surmounted by a boy and painted on the reverse with Hercules fighting a bull beside a river landscape, the polychrome enamel decorated Roman watch dial (lacking minute hand) with gilt-brass movement with bridgecock verge escapement, the backplate numbered 25363
