A Louis Philippe ormolu-mounted Brescia marble mantle timepiece with year calendar and coup perdu escapement

The rectangular marble case surmounted by a large ormolu Grecian urn, the plinth with foliate cast ormolu moulding and resting on ormolu block feet, foliate cast ormolu glazed bezel to the circular white enamel dial signed J.J. LePaute, Rue St. Honoré, No. 247, concentric rings for the day of week, mean time with Roman chapters and outer ring indicating the months with their Zodiac signs and the respective date, all hands of blued steel, sweep centre seconds, the substantial four-pillar movement with coup perdu escapement mounted on the backplate, twin going-barrels, countwheel also on the backplate with strike on a bell, the backplate signed J.J. LePaute, Paris. 180/xxv + 2 Invt. fecit.
