A walnut and ebonised Ithaca fashion calendar clock
Ithaca Clock Co. Third quarter 19th Century
The two-tier case with ebonised columns supporting the break-arch top with foliate carved ebonised cresting, glazed brass bezel to the black paper dial with silver Roman numerals and nickel plated hands, the lower tier with circular brass glazed bezel within an ebonised framed hinged door revealing the offset nickel-plated gridiron pendulum with glass rod inscribed with the Ithaca monogram, the glass calendar dial with outer concentric date ring and foliate painted sectors for the day and month printed on revolving drums, the clock movement with pierced out rectangular plates with open springs and strike on a bell visible through the top of the calendar dial, the backboard with the remnants of the instruction label
