The twin barrel movement with Garnier's chaff-cutter escapement with gold three-armed balance, hour and half-hour strike on a bell secured to the backplate signed PAUL, GARNIER Her. du Roi, Paris, the engine-turned silvered dial re-signed PAUL GARNIER PARIS within a rectangular reserve beneath the Roman chapter ring with blued steel moon hands, the one-piece moulded case with separate front top rail enabling access to the dial for the winding and hand-set, typical wood insert to the base plate; together with the original (?) gilt tooled brown leather travelling case
