Of ribbed, tapering hood-shape form, finely painted by Christian Friedrich Herold with chinoiserie figures at various scenes, taking tea and holding parasols, above elaborate gilt-panelled scroll-edged lustre supports with Kauffahrteiszenen in Purpurmalerei, the interior cover with a scene of bird catchers, the interior of the body entirely gilt, the base a stylized floral medallion with scrolls and radiating fan ornaments, with contemporary hinged mount
