The circular enamel dial with Roman chapters signed Delahoussaye H.er à Paris, with blued steel hands, the twin barrel movement with anchor escapement with silk-suspended pendulum, countwheel strike on a bell, within a rectangular case mounted with a pair of books now inscribed Bon Homme Richard and an associated figure of Benjamin Franklin, the movement numbered 'PD1005'
