DOUBLE, "Baron" Joseph-Eugene-Lucien (1846-1895) -- Cabinet d'un curieux. Description de quelques livres rares. Paris: Se donne chez l'auteur, 1892.

8o (232 x 157 mm). 23 plates. Contemporary green buckram, uncut.

The privately printed catalogue on handmade paper of a representative selection of Lucien Double's collection. Included is the very fine series of bindings executed for kings and members of the Royal family (including a binding for Emperor Rudolph), and famous collections, including Grolier and Maioli, French "gothiques" and old French poets. This appears to be the second, augmented edition of the catalogue first published in 1890, according to the posthumous sale catalogue of his library.
