Willem Van Dadelbeck. Utrecht. Mid 18th Century
The 32 cm. wide brass dial with engraved border, silvered cast seasonal spandrels, with silvered and engraved arch to painted and engraved rolling moon, the chapter ring with half hour and half quarter hour markers, gilt matted centre with subsidiary seconds ring flanked by floral curlicue signature plaques Willem van Dadelbeck/Utrecht, ringed winding holes, central alarm-setting disc, with further engraving around the square date aperture, with strike/not strike lever by 15, the eight day movement with four pillars, anchor escapement, Dutch rack strike and alarm on two bells; pendulum, two brass weights
