The most important bookseller's catalogue of the 17th century, complete in seven parts: Theology; Law; Medicine; miscellaneous subjects; French language; Italian, Spanish and English; German. It lists upwards of 20,000 titles in stock and continued in use as a work of reference many decades after the books could no longer be supplied.
FINE COPY from Dibdin's library, bound during the height of the mania for measuring the size of Elzeviers; Smith was therefore careful not to employ his knife and left the leaves partly unopened and the edges uncut. Pollard and Ehrman 69; Breslauer and Folter 68; BBB Wittockiana 24.
