This modern interpretation of the sankhla takes its inspiration from the flexible old Indian anklets that date back as early as the 18th century and that were worn around the ankles together with other elaborate bands. The Royal classes favored elaborately gem-set sankhlas set in yellow gold but there were also examples in plain silver so as to enable all to enjoy this simple but elegant Indian jewel.

Bhagat's sankhla makes lavish use of large diamond beads all set in extremely supple platinum links re-creating the perfect old Indian jewel with a modern twist!
