9TH-LATE 13TH CENTURY A.D.
Standing with tail fanned out behind, head turned in profile, ring handle at rear, 3¾ in. (9.5 cm.) diam.; a Byzantine bronze goose, with enlarged lentoid eyes, on integral base, circa 6th Century A.D., 2 3/8 in. (6 cm.) high; and a bronze figure of a cockerel, the crest decorated with punched circles and five knobs, the tail terminating in four knobs, probably Sassanian or later, 2½ in. (6.5 cm.) high (3)
