AN EGYPTIAN GREEN FAIENCE RING BEZEL
NEW KINGDOM, DYNASTY XVIII (1550-1295 B.C.)
The oval cartouche bezel inscribed with the name of Amenophis III, set in modern ring mount, ¾ in. (1.8 cm.) across bezel; and six mainly glass and faience bead necklaces, Egyptian, Roman period or later, comprising two necklaces with Roman and later iridescent glass and gold sandwich glass beads; three necklaces with Egyptian glazed composition disc beads, one with later metal 'bells' on pendant drops, another with fragmentary amulets and scarabs of various periods; and a necklace with later glass barrel and cylindrical-shaped beads, all restrung and with beads of recent date, 23 in. (58.4 cm.) long max. (7)
