MARK OF OMAR RAMSDEN, LONDON, 1936
Of slightly tapering circular section supported on a spreading foot with elongated rib buttresses, engraved with a coat-of-arms below a crest and an inscription, with a hammered finish, marked near rim, the base engraved 'OMAR RAMSDEN ME FECIT'
5 7/8 in. (15 cm.) high
11.3 oz. (350 gr.)
The inscription reads: 'I WAS WROUGHT FOR FRANCIS CAROLUS EELES IN THE YEAR OF OUR LORD MCMXXXVI'
The arms are those of Dr. Francis Carolus Eeles, O.B.E. (1876-1954) who was the secretary of the Central Council for the Care of Churches as well as a published author.
