Pagoda hood with glazed side panels, on shortened plinth, the 12 in. wide brass dial with foliate spandrels to silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring, matted centre with pie-crust edge to recessed seconds disc, signed on a plaque Thomas Webb/London, date aperture below, with strike/silent ring to the arch, eight day movement with four pillars, anchor escapement and rack strike on bell; movement and dial possibly associated to case, circa 1790 -- 89 in. (227 cm.) high
