Persian manuscript on paper, 383ff. each with 19 ll. of small black nasta'liq in four columns separated by twin gold rules within blue and gold margins, headings in blue over floriated tendrils, 22 miniatures, some of them near full-page, illuminated double-page opening with spiralling arabesques, split-palmettes and cloudbands in gold over blue ground and gold panels, five illuminated half-page headings, original blind-stamped dark morocco binding with traces of gold, smooth red morocco doublures with inlaid corner and centre-pieces of blue with brown and gilt tracery, lacking a few pages of text, some margins with old repairs, binding rebacked and corners restored
