POSSIBLY ENGLISH, CIRCA 1850
Rectangular, the cover inset with a brass cartouche within scrolled decoration, opening to reveal a set of sewing tools, comprising:
a needlecase;
a pair of scissors;
a thimble;
a stiletto;
a bodkin;
and four cotton spools;
in a plush lift-out tray, the plush interior cover part mirrored -- length of case 8¼ins. (21cms.)
