Of casket form on four ball feet, opening to reveal a mirrored inner lid and a set of gold and mother-of-pearl sewing implements, comprising:
two mother-of-pearl "snowflake" winders;
two gold-mounted mother-of-pearl reels;
a gold needlecase with blue enamel decoration;
a combination bodkin and ear-spoon;
a gold-mounted clear glass scent bottle;
a two-colour gold thimble, the border with applied scrollwork decoration;
and a gold retractable instrument;
the plush lining with integral embroidered pin cushion -- length of box 6½ins. (16.5cms.)
