Easton, 1781. 3 volumes, 4° (298 x 223mm), 16 engraved plates by Sparrow after Grimm, EXTRA-ILLUSTRATED with 37 maps, many engraved, and upwards of 280 engraved, lithographed, aquatint and woodcut plates (a little spotting and offsetting). Late 19th-century green hardgrain half morocco, gilt spines, gilt edges (spines rather faded). Provenance: Thomas Edward Watson (bookplate; by descent to the present owners). The extra plates include aquatints after Daniell (11), S. Alken (12) and Compton (10) and some small woodcut town plans by Speed.

Miller, 1806, 2 volumes, 4° (292 x 227mm), large folding engraved map by J. Cary, hand-coloured in outline, and 59 plates and maps, some hand-coloured (some foxing and offsetting). Contemporary calf gilt (rebacked with gilt spines). Provenance: gilt arms on upper covers -- Thomas Edward Watson (bookplate; by descent to the present owners). The lot sold not subject to return.
