Lot Essay

A student of Corot, and later a companion of Cézanne and Pissarro, he exhibited with the Impressionists from 1880-1886, and was one of the painters who was a link between the Barbizon and Impressionist schools. His work has been conserved in the Museum of Impressionism in Paris, and in Reims Museum.
