Shaped rectangular with slightly incurved sides, on four rocaille feet, the angles applied with foliage and flower-wrapped columns, the sides repoussé and chased with scenes of women in gardens, a cartouche and an urn of flowers in the Chinoiserie taste, applied below the rim with a beaded drapery and tassel border, the detachable pagoda-shaped cover chased with foliage and floral springs and with Chinaman's head finial, the side engraved with a coat-of-arms, marked on base and cover
