THE PLAQUE CIRCA 1740, THE BELLOWS 19TH CENTURY
The plaque painted with huntsmen in an extensive landscape bearing the dead stag in a cart beside two huntsmen having a picnic within a strapwork moulded surround painted with foliage, pierced for hanging (two pierced holes to lower part, some minor flaking to rim);
The bellows of waisted shaped outline painted with figures in a wooded landscape within a moulded scroll and foliage cartouche, the handle moulded with a satyr's mask, the reverse with a fortified river-island and flowers (one handle damaged, the other restored, the back panel cracked across, the leather bellows distressed)
