FIRST EDITION, PRESENTATION COPY inscribed by Axelrod on the front endpaper: "For Richard Watts with all best wishes George Axelrod." Axelrod's play became the basis for the 1955 film directed by Billy Wilder, which includes the famous scene where Marilyn Monroe's dress gets blown in the air as she stands on a subway grate.
