FIRST EDITION, ONE OF A VERY LIMITED NUMBER IN THIS SPECIAL VELLUM BINDING, PRESENTATION COPY, inscribed by Barrie to Diana Manners (associate of Evelyn Waugh and wife of Duff Cooper Churchill) on the front flyleaf: "To Diana Manners from her friend J.M. Barrie Christmas 1911." The narrative adaptation of the play Peter Pan, was first produced in 1904. The play version was not published until 1928 and this volume is the first edition of the story upon which the made-for-television movie "Peter Pan", starring Mary Martin, is based. EXTREMELY RARE: this is the only copy to appear in American Book Prices Current during the last 25 years when it appeared in 1996.
