A George III fruitwood striking table clock
Joseph Frattle, Newport. Circa 1780
The case with brass handle to the bell top, glazed sides, the dial signed Joseph Frattle Newport on a silvered sector in the matted centre with calendar aperture, pierced blued steel hands, silvered chapter ring, foliate spandrels, strike/silent ring in the arch, the five pillar twin wire fusee movement with verge escapement and strike on a bell, similarly engraved securing brackets to the case
