the arched case line inlaid with brass, with pierced brass fish scale sound frets to the sides below ring handles, on rectangular plinth base with ripple moulding above and on brass ball feet, the white-painted Roman dial with blued spade hands signed M: BARTLEY, BRISTOL. (some cracking and chipping to edges), the twin fusee movement with anchor escapement and strike on bell, with backplate engraved on the borders, engraved movement securing brackets and similarly engraved pendulum -- 17½in.(44.5cm.) high
