A MOGAMI DO TOSEI GUSOKU [ARMOUR]
Edo Period (18th - 19th Century)
The helmet of simple zunari [head shape] form, with four lame ko manju [neck guard], the fukigaeshi mounted with a gilt mon [crest] of crossed folded fans, the mask of brief hambo form, do of horizontal mogami construction, the plates leather covered with matching kusazuri [tassets], tsubo sode [shoulder guards], shino gote [sleeves], kawara haidate [thigh guards], shino suneate [shin guards], black lacquered and laced with pale blue and white reserve dyed doeskin in sugake style [spaced lacing]
