Lacquered in gold, silver and red hiramaki-e and nashiji on a glossy black ground with numerous roundels containing family crests, landscapes and auspicious symbols, the sides of the carrying case cut with large fan-shaped apertures, the set comprising a four-tier stacking food box, a square lacquer tray; a rectangular food box; two pewter sake flasks with lacquer chrysanthemum stoppers set into a rectangular stand; edges fundame and interiors red lacquer; brass loop handle
