Lot Essay

This particular style of stage suit was something of a signature design for Freddie Mercury and was one of either three or four worn by him during the 1978 U.S. tour. According to the vendor, it was originally given by Mercury to Dane Clark, Queen's hairdresser/wardrobe keeper between 1976-1980.
