The History, Civil and Commercial, of the British Colonies in the West Indies. London: John Stockdale, 1793-1793-1801. 3 volumes, 4° (272 x 215mm.) Half title in vol.III. 22 engraved maps and plates (comprised of: 1 portrait of the author, 11 maps [3 folding] and 10 plates), 6 folding letterpresss tables. (Half titles lacking in volumes I and II, small tears to folding maps, imprint shaved of plate facing 391 in vol.I, some light spotting and browning). Contemporary speckled calf gilt, covers with roll-tool border, spines in six compartments with raised bands, the bands flanked by gilt fillets, blue morocco lettering-pieces in the second and third compartments (joints of vols.I and III split).
