The mask with a rueful expression and a double-lobed chin, bulbous nose and eyes, 21.5 cm. high; a lacquer tray with upright rim, shaped and carved as a lotus leaf, decorated in high relief in gold and inlaid with mother-of-pearl, depicting a goose flying towards the Chinese envoy Sobu receiving a message from the Han court, 41 cm. x 22 cm.; a rectangular lacquered shop-sign, kanban of a wine seller, decorated with vine, 38 cm. x 24 cm.; and a dried model of a large tree fungus, 29 cm. wide (4)
