Lot Essay

Both the takri and nasta'liq nscriptions on the reverse identify the sitter as Maharaj Bandi Ram.

Archer's notes go into considerable detail about the shrine at Damthal, a daughter shrine of Pandori, and its founding. Unfortunately no further information is given on Bandi Ram himself.
