signed on the pillar Cary LONDON, the tapering barrel screwing into a limb atop the pillar with rack and pinion-adjusted stage and concave mirror, mounted on a compass joint and threading into a ferrule on the lid of the case, with four connecting objectives, live box, stage bull's-eye, black and white disc and three four cell ivory objectives, also with a manuscript List of (thirty-one) Objects, in a lift-out tray in a mahogany case with plush-lined lid and ivory escutcheon, the ferrule on the lid engraved EDWARD JAMES BURY -- 16.2cm.
