A 19th-Century lacquered-brass botanical microscope,
signed on the barrel C..W.. Dixey Optician to the Queen New Bond St London, arranged to thread into a short limb adjusted by rack and pinion from the cylindrical column with stage with sprung slide holder beneath and concave mirror, threading into a ferrule on the lid of the case, with one objective, stage bull's-eye and forceps and three ivory and five glass sliders, in a fitted mahogany case with a green plush pillow in the lid and two brass hooks and nails -- 14.5cm.
